Remembering

Remembering who we are and why we are here on this earth is our sadhana or spiritual practice. It is requires a commitment to the self. In order to create rituals and daily practices we must allow ourselves to turn inwards and perceive life as it truly is. believhere is an energetic memory and force field in our cells that longs for nature worship. Our ancestors, our elders, our chiefs, our great leaders. We are all people of ancient descent. In homage of our wise elders we must come back to the deep remembering and longings of our souls.

Our word ecology comes from the Greek word oikos, which means “house.” We must attend to the health of our “inner” and “outer” houses. The inner house of the world within and the outer house of the world in which we live in. Many, many generations ago, we as humans used our ancient wisdoms to keep the needs of the natural environment balanced. We belong to the land. Not vice versa. For centuries human beings used the wisdom of nature and ritual to support change and life transitions . We are all people of the earth, connected to one another by our mutual humanity. Transitions and rites of passage can be incorporated into daily life through art, music, movement, and ritual. Every culture in the world has art, singing, dancing, and storytelling. Just like every culture breeds leaders and or what some of us call warriors.

A special few of us are called to be warriors. You all know who you are. The question is, what are you going to do with that inner knowing? True warriors have honor and respect for all things. Being present, having discipline, setting limits, and having boundaries are the qualities the great warrior exude. Most effective warriros also have incredibly judicious communication. As warriors we must be consistant in many things. The weight of our words is of utmost importance. Not saying, for example, what we mean and not doing what we say gets us out of the warriors arena. A lack of alignment between word and action always result in a loss of power and effectiveness. We as warriors must find a way to live in honor our true longings.

The way of the warrior demands that we honor and respect our own personal limits. No, this is a limit and Yes this is something im wiilling to do, is the true foundation needed to follow the movements of our soul! Its one of our most powerful tools as human beings that we possess.

The skillful warrior also has attained the art and craft of Communication. Consistency in words and actions. We must take a stand on what we are willing and not willing to say yes or no to. Its the only way to stay in our authenticity.

Lastly, the warrior exhibits honor through the power of position and takes a stand in an arena that has heart and meaning for them.
